What is Form 2316?
Form 2316 is the Annual Income Tax Return Certificate issued to employees in the Philippines. It provides a summary of:
- Total compensation received during the previous calendar year
- Taxes withheld by the employer
- Tax due for that year
Form 2316 is typically released early in the year following the tax year. Employees receive it as part of the Annual Income Tax Submission (ITS) process.
It serves as official proof of income and taxes withheld. It is often required for:
- Personal record-keeping
- Loan or visa applications
- Annual tax compliance
Horizons works with local payroll partners to ensure Form 2316 is:
- Prepared accurately
- Delivered to employees on time every year by end of January.
Once released and uploaded to Horizons platform, Employees must:
- Review the form for accuracy (name, compensation, tax amounts).
- Keep a copy for your personal records.
- No filing action is usually required for employees under substituted filing (if applicable).
