How does Horizons handle currency conversion or foreign exchange rates?

Horizons is committed to offering efficient and cost-effective global payroll services. When you fund your global team in your chosen currency, we handle the process of converting and paying employees or contractors in their local currency. Our partnership with Airwallex, a top-tier global payment processor and Horizons' payment partner of choice, ensures you receive market-leading exchange rates.

What exchange rate will I receive on my invoice?

Exchange rates can fluctuate daily. To make your experience as transparent as possible, we incorporate the Forward Rate into your invoice. This rate considers the exchange rate on the day the invoice is sent (typically the 10th of each month) and when your team members receive their salaries in their respective countries (usually on the last business day of the month). This way, you won't face unexpected surprises due to rate changes.

For instance, if the USD/GBP exchange rate on the 10th is (x) and shifts to (y) by the 30th, the rate we apply will factor in the average over those twenty days, accommodating any rate changes.

Where is the exchange rate coming from?

Our exchange rates come directly from our partnership with Airwallex, a leading global payment processor. Thanks to the substantial transaction volume we handle, we can provide better rates than most payment providers and banks.

In line with our commitment to transparency, the final FX rate applied will be stated on your monthly invoice.

What fees will be applied to my invoice payment?

We pride ourselves on our transparent pricing. You won’t find any hidden costs with us – we do not charge additional transaction fees or any other bank-related charges.

We're in the midst of introducing a variety of payment methods beyond our standard bank/wire transfers. Depending on the chosen provider, there could be additional fees linked to the selected payment method. These fees might vary based on the payment processors we collaborate with. As we launch these options, fee structures will be presented clearly. However, if you decide to use the conventional wire transfer method, there are no associated costs—it's consistently free of charge.
