The Onboarding Process Guide

Here are the steps to hire a team member:


Prerequisites

  • Company Admin access to the Horizons Platform 


Steps

  1. Sign the Proposal between your company and Horizons, to unlock your new country of hire.
    • The Proposal outlines all the terms of your new hire's employment. It also has the full breakdown of the costs for your new hire (salary, employer taxes, deposit and Horizons fee).
  2. Submit your new hire request on the Horizons Platform
  3. Approve locally compliant Employment Contract of your new hire 
    • The employment contract will be shared with you via the Horizons Platform for review and approval. 
    • Depending on the country of expansion, this generally takes 48 hours. Should you have any questions after revising the employment contract draft, your dedicated Onboarding Specialist remains available to support you.
  4. Invite new hire to the Horizons Platform
    • With your permission, Horizons contacts your hire, explains how Horizons works, and answers any questions that they have.
    • Our primary goal with your new hire is we want them to feel comfortable and assured about being hired via Horizons.
    • We ask your new team member to provide information required to be hired (address, social security number, bank details, etc.).
  5. Sign the Employment Contract with your new hire.
    • We send the pre-approved Employment Contract to your new hire for review.
    • Once the new hire is happy, we request their signature. The final agreement will be available on the Horizons platform.
  6. Set up a monthly payment cycle
    • Horizons will set up your monthly payments for all of your hires on the Horizons platform. You are billed in the currency of your choice.
    • Your new hire will be set up on the local payroll. They will be paid in their local currency at their regular cadence.
    • You will receive a deposit invoice for you new hire along with the first month of payroll.
