What is the Sick Leave Policy in the Czech Republic?
In the Czech Republic, employees are entitled to sick leave in case of illness or injury.
Sick Leave Pay:
First 14 Days of Illness:
- For the first 14 days of illness, employees are entitled to 60% of their regular wages, paid by the employer.
From the 15th Day Onwards:
- After the 14th day of illness, the Czech Social Security Administration assumes responsibility for compensation.
- The maximum duration for sick leave paid by the Social Security Administration is 380 days.
Compensation by the Czech Social Security Administration:
- 0-30 days: 60% of the employee's regular wages.
- 31-60 days: 66% of the employee's regular wages.
- From the 61st day onwards: 72% of the employee's regular wages.
