- First 90 Days: Employees receive 75% of their salary, which cannot be less than the minimum wage.
- Following 90 Days: Employees receive 85% of their salary, which also cannot be less than the minimum wage.
- Special Cases: For certain illnesses, such as mental illness or leprosy, social security may cover up to 100% of the salary.
Documentation Requirements
- Employees must provide a medical certificate to justify their sick leave.
- The certificate must be submitted no later than the third day of absence. If the certificate is submitted on the third day, the first two days of absence will be deducted from annual leave as unjustified absence.
