What job titles can be used in Mexico?

At Horizons, we follow a standardized approach to job titles for all team members based in Mexico. Internally and in official employment documentation, employees must hold the title of Consultant or Senior Consultant, depending on their level.

Why This Matters

This standardization helps ensure compliance with local labor regulations and simplifies our administrative processes. It also helps maintain consistency in official records and reporting.

We cannot make any exceptions to this policy when it comes to employment agreements in Mexico. All contracts and official documentation must reflect the title Consultant or Senior Consultant, and this applies to all new hires and role changes.

Job title variations such as Sales Consultant, Marketing Consultant, or IT Consultant may be used internally or externally to better reflect the employee's actual role, but the core title must remain within the approved structure of Consultant.

External Job Titles

Employees are encouraged to use their functional job titles in external contexts, including:

  • Business cards

  • Email signatures

  • LinkedIn profiles

  • Client-facing communications
