Recent Update
The minimum wage was increased from PEN 1,025 to PEN 1,130 following Supreme Decree No. 004-2024-TR, which came into effect on January 1, 2025. This marks the first adjustment to the minimum wage since May 2022 and represents a 10% increase.
Application
The minimum wage applies to employees working a full-time schedule, typically 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.
Part-time employees must receive a salary proportional to the minimum wage based on their contracted hours.
The minimum wage must be used as the base for calculating statutory benefits, such as bonuses and social security contributions.
