Welcome to Horizons: What is the Employer of Record (EOR) model?

Welcome to Horizons! As a newly joining employee, you might have questions about how your employment is structured.

Horizons partners with global companies to employ talented professionals like you through a model known as an Employer of Record (EOR).

What Is an Employer of Record?

An Employer of Record (EOR) is a third-party organization that legally employs a worker on behalf of another company.

While your daily work, responsibilities, and direction come from the client company (the organization you're assigned to), Horizons is your official legal employer. This means we handle all employment administration, including contracts, payroll, taxes, and compliance with local labor laws.

This model allows companies to hire employees in countries where they do not have a legal entity, ensuring a compliant and efficient employment experience for everyone involved.
