What is the required format and timeline for employee onboarding in Greece?

In Greece, certain employee information must be submitted to the Greek authorities (ERGANI II) at least 2 days before the employee’s start date. This includes all required personal and job-related details necessary for legal registration.

While the Employment Agreement (EA) does not need to be signed before the start date, it must be signed within 2 months after the employment begins. This allows some flexibility in finalizing the contract, but the advance reporting requirement to ERGANI II is mandatory and time-sensitive.

To remain compliant with Greek labor laws, Horizons ensures that all required employee information is completed, signed, and submitted.
