How is Sick Leave regulated in Hungary?

In Hungary, sick leave provides financial support for employees who are unable to work due to illness or injury. Employees are entitled to sick leave for a certain duration each year, during which they receive a percentage of their regular salary.


Sick leave is available for up to 15 days per year in cases of incapacity to work. During this period, employees are entitled to receive 70% of their regular salary as compensation. This ensures that employees are supported financially while they recover from their illness or injury.


After the initial 15-day period, further benefits may be available depending on the situation, but conditions may change.
