How are salaries Prorated in Argentina?

At Horizons, we understand the importance of accurately prorating salaries for employees in Argentina. Here’s a brief overview of how this process is managed:

Salaries are prorated by dividing the employee’s monthly gross income by either the total number of days in the month or the number of workdays. This calculation provides the daily income rate.

Horizons then multiplies this daily rate by the number of days the employee actually worked or the actual workdays in the month.

To ensure precision, Horizons rounds the final prorated amount to the nearest hundredth (0.01). This method ensures that employees are paid fairly, reflecting the exact time they’ve worked and any necessary adjustments.

Prorating is applied in scenarios such as when an employee starts or ends their employment partway through the month or when adjustments are needed due to absences. Horizons uses this approach to maintain accurate and equitable salary payments.
