How is Vacation Pay calculated in Argentina?
Modified on: Mon, 16 Sep, 2024 at 4:04 PM
In Argentina, employees are entitled to paid vacation, with the length of time off determined by their years of service:
- 14 days for up to 5 years of service
- 21 days for 5 to 10 years of service
- 28 days for 10 to 20 years of service
- 35 days for over 20 years of service
Vacation pay is calculated based on the employee's best monthly salary during the year, similar to the Aguinaldo.
Employees must also receive their vacation pay before the start of their leave, and the vacation period is typically granted between October and April, though alternative arrangements can be made.
