In India, the standard working hours typically range from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday. This amounts to around 40-48 hours per week, depending on the company and industry. 


Some sectors, especially those in retail, hospitality, and healthcare, might have different shifts or longer hours. Government and public sector jobs generally adhere to the 9-to-5 schedule, while private sector roles may offer more flexibility or extended hours. 


Additionally, there’s usually a lunch break of 30 minutes to an hour during the workday.
