Singapore celebrates many public holidays to recognize its multicultural and multi-religious society. Each major racial and religious group has public holidays significant to their culture and religion, reflecting the country's diversity and promoting harmony and understanding among its different communities.
In Singapore, the gazetted public holidays for 2024 include the following:
- New Year’s Day: January 1
- Chinese New Year: February 10-11 (with the following day, February 12, also a holiday)
- Good Friday: March 29
- Hari Raya Puasa: April 10
- Labour Day: May 1
- Vesak Day: May 22
- Hari Raya Haji: June 17
- National Day: August 9
- Deepavali: October 31
- Christmas Day: December 25
