About Horizons

Horizons 2023

Hey there,

On January 12th, we will refresh the look of our user interface (UI). You will see simpler designs that are part of our strategy to make the Horizons app more user-friendly and enable you to do things on your own.

There are a lot of changes planned for H1 2023:

1) More detailed payroll reports so you can track & understand month-over-month changes.
2) Faster onboarding flow that allows you to review & approve employment contracts earlier.
3) Self-service options for user management, expense and leave policies for speedy changes.

We're starting off with an update to a re-designed sidebar, a new settings page with more features (you can invite users by yourself now!) and updated colors.

New Sidebar

We change the look of the sidebar and moved a few of the items, so the it's easier to navigate the platform.

Here is an overview of the changes:

→ New Sidebar

"Files" has been renamed to "Payments" in anticipation of future features. For now, it includes all your monthly invoices. The contracts that were previously available in 'Files' have been moved to a section inside the settings page.

The new sidebar now also included your personal account data, you can edit your password and log out by clicking on the three dots in the lower left corner.

New Settings Page

The new settings page allows you to configure more features on your own and gives you faster access to the relevant information. It has 4 sub-pages:

General	Upload a logo that's displayed on the top of the sidebar
Billing	All the information that goes into your invoices. You can read more here.
Users	Allows you to add additional non-employee users on your own. You can read more here.
Documents	Contracts that were previously available in the section "Files" have been moved here.

Updated colors

The new UI has a lighter color scheme and we got rid of the red buttons that were drawing all the attention.

We've updated the colours of all pages but most of them still function as before.
