How to onboard a new team member with Horizons?

To hire a new team member through the Horizons platform, follow these steps:

Steps to Hire a New Team Member:

  1. Sign the Proposal

    • The first step is to sign the proposal between your company and Horizons. This will unlock your new country of hire.

    • The proposal outlines the terms of employment, including salary, employer taxes, deposit, and Horizons fees.

  2. Submit Your New Hire Request

    • Once the proposal is signed, submit the new hire request via the Horizons platform.

  3. Approve the Employment Contract

    • The employment contract will be shared with you for review and approval through the Horizons platform.

    • Depending on the country of expansion, this typically takes about 48 hours. If you have any questions or need assistance with the contract, your dedicated Onboarding Specialist is available to help.

  4. Invite Your New Hire to the Horizons Platform

    • With your permission, Horizons will reach out to your new hire, explaining how the platform works and addressing any questions they may have.

    • Our primary goal is to ensure your new team member feels comfortable and confident about being hired via Horizons.

    • Your new hire will be asked to provide the necessary personal information (address, social security number, bank details, etc.) to complete the onboarding process.

  5. Sign the Employment Contract

    • Once your new hire has reviewed the pre-approved employment contract, we will send it to them for final approval and signature.

    • After signing, the finalized contract will be available on the Horizons platform for both parties to access.

  6. Set Up a Monthly Payment Cycle

    • You will receive a deposit invoice along with the first month’s payroll.

    • Horizons will set up the monthly payments for your new hire on the platform, allowing you to manage payroll in your preferred currency.

    • Your new hire will be paid in their local currency on their regular payment schedule.
